We can help with

Overactive Bladder

Overactive bladder (OAB) is a condition characterized by a sudden and uncontrollable urge to urinate, often accompanied by increased frequency and, in some cases, involuntary leakage (urge incontinence). This occurs when the bladder muscles contract excessively, even when the bladder isn’t full.

Common symptoms include the need to urinate more than eight times a day, waking up multiple times at night to urinate (nocturia), and experiencing urgency that’s difficult to control. OAB can significantly impact daily activities and quality of life, but various treatments can help manage symptoms effectively.

There are many options to help! Our office offers MonaLisa Touch which helps with vaginal and bladder symptoms. Medications are another option. But when those don't work, patients often have life-changing improvement with Axonics Therapy.

Axonics

Axonics Therapy is a minimally invasive treatment for overactive bladder (OAB) and urinary incontinence that uses sacral neuromodulation to improve bladder control. It involves a small implant that delivers mild electrical pulses to the sacral nerves, which regulate bladder and bowel function. This therapy helps reduce symptoms like urgency, frequency, and leakage without major surgery.

Axonics is particularly effective for patients who haven’t responded well to medications or other treatments and offers a long-term solution with adjustable settings for personalized care.
