MEET DR. CRYER

Dr. Karissa L. Cryer is an experienced OB/GYN dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care tailored to women's health needs, including minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, robotic surgery, and treatments for incontinence and hormone management. With our office since March 2025.

Dr. Cryer is a board-certified OB/GYN and North Texas native, born and raised in Farmersville, TX. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, then attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and completed her OB/GYN residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, IL in 2018. She is also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a physician at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE from 2018 to 2022.

After relocating back to North Texas, Dr. Cryer began practicing in October 2022. After a personal decision to focus on family life, in March 2025, she joined Dr. Strobel and our team at G. DeAn Strobel, MD, PA as a robotically-trained, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon and incontinence specialist. Her professional interests include DaVinci robotic surgery, treatments for incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and overactive bladder, cosmetic gynecology, vaginal rejuvenation, sports medicine for female athletes, contraception, weight loss and obesity management, and hormone replacement therapy.

In her personal time, Dr. Cryer enjoys spending time with her family. She loves being a wife and mother of two, is an avid dog and sushi lover, and enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and traveling. She is excited to be part of the practice and looks forward to helping women feel their very best!
