What does an office gynecology visit typically include?

It depends on your needs, but common services include well-woman exams and pap smears, STI screening, and routine or advanced lab work. We also review and discuss HPV vaccination as part of your preventive care, and evaluate and treat a range of gynecologic concerns, from heavy or irregular periods and other menstrual disorders to bladder concerns and breast concerns.

What happens if my pap smear comes back abnormal?

We handle the full follow-up right here in our office, including further evaluation and any needed treatment, so you don't have to be referred out for routine abnormal results.

Can I get STI testing or discuss the HPV vaccine during a regular office visit?

Yes, STI testing is available during routine visits. We don't administer the HPV vaccine in our office, but we're glad to discuss it and make a recommendation as part of your preventive care.

Yes, our providers offer infertility evaluation as well as contraceptive management to help you find the right option for your goals.

Accepted Answer

Beyond routine and advanced lab evaluations, food sensitivity testing, and bone density scans for osteoporosis screening, we also offer advanced genetic testing. This includes screening for genes linked to cancer risk and cardiovascular disease, as well as pharmacogenomic testing, which looks at how your body processes certain medications so we can help choose the most effective option with the fewest side effects. We also offer Galleri testing, a multi-cancer early detection blood test, and Cologuard, an at-home screening test for colorectal cancer.
