What is cosmetic gynecology? Cosmetic gynecology is care that focuses on both how your intimate area feels and how it looks. Some women come to us for comfort. They may feel pulling, rubbing, or pain during exercise, sex, or while wearing tight clothes. Others come for changes after childbirth or menopause (the time when monthly periods stop). And some simply want to feel more at ease with their body. There is no "normal" or "right" way to look. Our goal is to listen, explain your options in plain words, and help you decide what is best for you.

Labiaplasty and vaginal rejuvenation. Labiaplasty is a surgery that reshapes the labia (the folds of skin around the vaginal opening). Some women choose it because extra tissue causes discomfort, gets in the way during activity, or bothers them. Vaginal rejuvenation is a broad term. It can mean surgery to tighten or repair tissue, or it can mean non-surgical, energy-based treatments. These are personal choices, not medical must-dos. During your visit, we will explain what each option can and cannot do, so your hopes match real results.

MonaLisa Touch / laser vaginal therapy. We are proud to offer MonaLisa Touch (a CO2 fractional laser, which means it uses tiny beams of light). It is used mainly to ease genitourinary syndrome of menopause, or GSM (vaginal and urinary changes tied to lower estrogen). Many women use it for vaginal dryness, irritation, itching, and pain during sex. Some also notice help with mild urinary leaking (incontinence). It works by gently warming the tissue to build new collagen (a protein that supports the skin). If your main concern is looseness (laxity), we will talk honestly about whether laser therapy is the right fit for you. Results can vary from person to person.

Non-surgical options. Not every concern needs surgery. Non-surgical options can include laser or energy-based therapy like MonaLisa Touch, topical (skin-applied) treatments, and a referral for pelvic floor exercises. These choices often have little to no downtime. We will help you weigh the pros and cons for your body and goals.

What to expect and recovery. Care starts with a private visit. We ask about your symptoms, health history, and what you hope for. In-office laser treatments like MonaLisa Touch are quick and usually need no anesthesia (medicine to numb or make you sleep). You can often return to your day right away, though we may ask you to avoid sex for a few days. Surgery such as labiaplasty is different. It may use local or general anesthesia, and full healing can take several weeks. We will give you clear aftercare steps. Call us if you have heavy bleeding, a fever, growing pain, or signs of infection. Ready to talk it through? Call or text our Sherman, TX office at 903-957-0275.
